Riverbend Farm Cottage is on a small working sheep farm in the Southern Drakensberg. Set on the banks of the Umzimude River, 20 minutes from Underberg, surrounded by rolling grasslands and overlooking Bamboo Mountain, it is the perfect place to relax in the quiet sparkling surrounds. Trout fly fishing in the river ( in season), birding and walking are all there - or you can just sit on the sunny verandah listening to the giant kingfishers and crowned cranes.

This is a two bedroomed cottage- one bedroom has a queen sized bed, the other a double bed and both beds have electric blankets. There is a compact bathroom consisting of shower, basin and toilet. The kitchen is fully equipped with hob, stove and microwave – and there is an outside braai and a small weber type braai.
The cottage is heated with a combustion stove and there is a flat screen tv with “easyview” bouquet. However guests are welcome to bring their own decoder and sim. Small pets are welcome as the cottage garden is fenced and gated and there is a carport within the garden. Underberg is only 30 minutes away with all its amenities and it is a simple matter to arrange tours and outings.
