30 kilometres from Underberg in the heart of the Southern Drakensberg is Thekwanes Nest on an elevated, four hectare property with majestic views of the mountain.

Thekwanes Nest offers two stone thatched cottages set in private, fully fenced tranquil surroundings with the beauty and fragrance of over 1 000 rose bushes.

The smaller cottage comprises of a single en suite bedroom with a queen sized bed; there is also a double bed sleeper couch in the lounge. This cottage is ideal for a couple or a couple with two children.

Each cottage has a fireplace in the lounge ....

Castle Rock Farm is a self-catering mountain guest house set on the Umzimkulu River, off the Drakensberg Gardens Road in the Underberg area. The Umzimkulu River runs through the farm with our very on lapa on the river bed.

It sleeps 8 people inside and 2 outside in a quaint and well equipped en-suit rondavel. Open plan, well equipped kitchen, dining room and lounge with large central fireplace.

It is unarguably the most impressive location anywhere in the Southern Drakensberg due to the mix of accessibility, views, and activities right on the doorstep including fishing and paddling on the Umzimkulu River, hiking, Ezemvelo Wildlife just up the valley, Sani Spoors MTB Trails ....
